Affected Printers

all printers connected by USB

Cause

Windows has assigned a new USB ID to the printer.

This happens normally after plugging in the USB data cable to another port of the PC or after a firmware upgrade of the printer.

Troubleshooting

Delete all print jobs on the formerly used printer.

Delete the formerly used printer.

Rename the copy of the printer to the name of the deleted printer.

Connect the USB data cable always to the same USB port on the PC!
