Cause

Ribbon- and/or label-abrasion has polluted the printhead.

The ribbon was used with wrong side.

Troubleshooting

Clean the printhead with a soft cloth and isopropyl alcohol.

If the cleaning shows no result, you can send in the printer for maintenance.
